Topographically flat and with excellent cycling infrastructure, the federal capital is becoming increasingly bike-friendly. Many routes are separated from the road and run through parks or along the Spree and Havel rivers. Where once the border divided East and West Berlin, the Mauerradweg (Berlin Wall Bike Path) now runs.
